1908
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Arthur Rossiter started making boots in his backyard shed and a legend was born.
1910
THE FIRST FACTORY
After building his Unley Road factory, Arthur formed the company Rossiter’s Pty. Ltd. starting a family tradition spanning over 110 years and four generations.
1915
THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY WWI
Rossiter’s supplied boots to the Australian army during WWI. Arthur was too old to enlist but created a boot for the soldiers in order to play his part in the war effort.
1930
THE DEPRESSION
During the depression, Arthur took to the road and trade shows to sell enough shoes to keep the operation afloat. He knew his staff depended on him and he fought hard to win sales to protect his workers.
1940
THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY WWII
Rossiter’s supplied 110,000 pairs of army boots to Australian soldiers in WWII, which remains an enormous source of pride amongst the Rossi Boots team to this day.
1950
THE RIPPLE SOLE DESERT BOOT
Rossiter’s create the famous Original Ripple sole desert boots, made with stitch down construction where the upper is sewn to the midsole. We still make these boots in the same way today and the Rossi Ripple is still going strong.
1960
THE MOTORCYCLE BOOTS
Rossiter’s introduced motorcycle boots. Still a collector’s item, these original boots enjoyed a cult following amongst dirt bike riders and cafe racers.
1990
ROSSITER'S TO ROSSI BOOTS
Rossiter’s Pty Ltd changed their name to Rossi Boots, the name their customers were already using.
1993
THE ENDURA
The mighty Endura sole was launched, with nitrile rubber sole and air cushion technology. For 25 years this sole has seen many a work day on farms, in factories and on worksites all over the world. We’re proud to say this sole continues to be a Rossi Boots best seller.
2010
100 YEARS
Rossi Boots celebrates the company’s centenary. 100 years of great Australian boots made in beautiful Adelaide, Australia.
2020
THREE ICONIC AUSTRALIAN BRANDS UNITE
Rossi Boots joins fellow iconic Australian brands Driza-Bone and RB Sellars under the Propel Group Banner. The Rossiter family have owned the Rossi Boots business for over 110 years and will continue as shareholders into this next stage.
