WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Arthur Rossiter started making boots in his backyard shed and a legend was born.
THE FIRST FACTORY
After building his Unley Road factory, Arthur formed the company Rossiter’s Pty. Ltd. starting a family tradition spanning over 110 years and four generations.
THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY WWI
Rossiter’s supplied boots to the Australian army during WWI. Arthur was too old to enlist but created a boot for the soldiers in order to play his part in the war effort.
During the depression, Arthur took to the road and trade shows to sell enough shoes to keep the operation afloat. He knew his staff depended on him and he fought hard to win sales to protect his workers.
THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY WWII
Rossiter’s supplied 110,000 pairs of army boots to Australian soldiers in WWII, which remains an enormous source of pride amongst the Rossi Boots team to this day.
THE RIPPLE SOLE DESERT BOOT
Rossiter’s create the famous Original Ripple sole desert boots, made with stitch down construction where the upper is sewn to the midsole. We still make these boots in the same way today and the Rossi Ripple is still going strong.
THE MOTORCYCLE BOOTS
Rossiter’s introduced motorcycle boots. Still a collector’s item, these original boots enjoyed a cult following amongst dirt bike riders and cafe racers.
ROSSITER'S TO ROSSI BOOTS
Rossiter’s Pty Ltd changed their name to Rossi Boots, the name their customers were already using.
The mighty Endura sole was launched, with nitrile rubber sole and air cushion technology. For 25 years this sole has seen many a work day on farms, in factories and on worksites all over the world. We’re proud to say this sole continues to be a Rossi Boots best seller.
Rossi Boots celebrates the company’s centenary. 100 years of great Australian boots made in beautiful Adelaide, Australia.
THREE ICONIC AUSTRALIAN BRANDS UNITE
Rossi Boots joins fellow iconic Australian brands Driza-Bone and RB Sellars under the Propel Group Banner. The Rossiter family have owned the Rossi Boots business for over 110 years and will continue as shareholders into this next stage.
